Drugs And Handgun Seized

Two Barrie residents face a drug and firearms offences.

A week-long investigation by the Barrie Police Service Crime Unit has resulted in a total of 33 charges against a man and a woman for drug and firearms offences.

Police say two people were arrested after they were allegedly seen trafficking drugs from a rental vehicle.

Investigators seized a loaded handgun and a variety of drugs including fentanyl, crack and powder cocaine, heroin and a quantity of cash.

Police say the street value of the cash and drugs seized tops $10,000.

The suspects are both in their 20's and from Barrie.
