Funding for Local Festivals

Orillia's Mariposa Folk Festival and Collingwood's Art on the Street Festival among recipients.

The Mariposa Folk Festival in Orillia is getting some funding from the province.
 
The festival received $75,000.
 
The funding is part of the Celebrate Ontario 2018 grant program.
 
The annual program aims to help in the enhancement of festivals and events in order to attract more tourists and increase visitor spending.
 
Also the Barrie Automotive Flea Market in Oro-Medonte is getting $100,000 for their spring and fall editions.
 
What's Cooking Bracebridge got $4,928, Bracebridge Fire and Ice Festival received $15,400, and Muskoka Yoga Festival $15,293.
 
Midland (and Sudbury) Feastfest received $50,000, and Midland Cruise Ship Celebrations Days $23,875 
 
Huntsville Maple Festival received $2,500, Huntsville Festival $66,500, Cinemuskoka $5,500, and World Water Ski Show Tournament $25,000, 
 
Collingwood Art on the Street Festival got $24,300, and UG Series BeachWOD $29,750. 
 
Small Halls Festival in Clearview received $21,975.
